Rébecca Djanivenda
Environmental Education Coordinator

Rébecca began working as an intern with OELO in January 2015 as she completed a university degree in Environmental Management. As part of her internship, Rébecca coordinated OELO’s nature club activities in schools and churches and she organized OELO’s 2015 World Environment Day activities, which attracted over 400 community members and 300 students. After this success, OELO offered her a full-time position as Coordinator where she leads the Environmental Education classroom and nature club efforts. She is passionate about environmental conservation and working with youth. In 2015 Rébecca was awarded a MENTOR Manatee fellowship, by Dr. Lucy Keith Diagne at the African Aquatic Conservation Fund, to lead community outreach and Environmental Education on the African Manatee.
